might argue with labeling the Exploratorium a children's museum and
they're probably right. This collage of over 650 science, art, and human
perception exhibits in San Francisco's Marina district provides endless
fascination to both kids and adults - in fact, it leads the movement to
promote the museum as an educational center. Satisfy your curiosity through
the innovative environments created here, and enjoy the breathtaking location
of the Palace of Fine Arts after you fill your head with all those
fun facts! Open 7 days a week during the summer (Memorial to Labor Days),
and closed Mondays for the rest of the year.
In Sausalito,
the Bay Area Discovery Museum offers hands-on exhibits for children
that include climbing on a fishing boat, learning to ride a unicycle,
and creating clay animation movies. Children can even work with scientists,

At the Intel Museum in Santa Clara, you can experience the power of computer chips first hand, and the evolution of their development. Explore the pages of this site and interact with our Web movies to learn more about the museum and computer chips. Using hands-on exhibits, visitors to the Intel Museum learn how computer chips are designed and then manufactured in ultra-clean, highly automated factories. Visitors can also explore exhibits about the history of the computer chip industry and Intel Corporation, and learn how computer chips are used in our everyday world.
Exhibits at the Intel Museum are arranged according to topic around a centralized, computer-based learning lab designed for science lab classes.
