We are going to try some of the best coffee, dim sum and other food on our approximately three-hour tour. And for the optional full meal that follows, with multiple courses, you'll have the option of one of our favorite Italian restaurants, with wine, desert and several courses, at a restaurant that's recently been rated as one of the best Italian restaurants in San Francisco, or Chinese, from of the City's favorite local Chinese restaurants. After every course, you'll swear that the food was so incredible that nothing could be better, only to find out that the following dish tops it.

On their own, Chinatown and North Beach stir your senses. Together, they awaken you to new flavors, new cultures, and to parts of your heart. We'll start by exploring Chinatown by twilight, including tasting dim sum from one of the oldest bakeries in Chinatown. We'll delve into Chinese mysticism and culture, as we explore local sculpture and architecture

Tea is to Chinatown as North Beach is to coffee and we'll try both. We'll search out authentic Chinese and Italian crafts and pottery. We'll uncover their hidden secrets only intrepid locals know. And you'll be astonished by the new finds in secret alcoves.

On every one of our sojourns into San Francisco neighborhoods, we'll go into local bakeries, restaurants, and cafes, and taste the food. Each of our tours is followed by a full meal at a neighborhood restaurant with phenomenal food. We know these places because these are the places we go to ourselves.

We don't go and look at tourist shops. We go into and spend time with local artisans as they practice their crafts, whether it is calligraphers, bakers, or families who have been fishing for generations. We'll take you into the places that are reasons most San Franciscans cannot ever think of leaving here, the places that evoke the creativity and lifestyle that is unique to San Francisco. We have a passion for life, for trying new things, for living life to its fullest. Our goal is that after you join our explorations, you will take that passion with you. Tour is organized by a group of passionate, professional, and certified guides who have been leading adventures in San Francisco for some time. We live here; we can't imagine living anywhere else. We love the City and want you to experience its magic. One of the compabny founders, Tom Medin, has been guiding tours in San Francisco for close to a decade. In addition to extensive knowledge of San Francisco history, architecture and cuisine, he is a trained naturalist, specializing in marine mammals. Several of his cookbooks are in the process of publication.

            

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received withing 12- 24 hours subject to availability.

Recommended for all tours in San Francisco: Comfortable shoes and a extra layer of warm clothing.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a $10.00 per person administration fee. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.
