Because we booked the morning "Redwoods" tour, we couldn't take the Alcatraz tour until 2:50 p.m. and didn't have enough time to take the entire Alcatraz audio tour and get back to the pick-up point by 5:00 p.m.Bernadine R., 840, 09-2008

Guide who picked us up at our hotel was very nice and prompt. Then we had Jay for our tour and he was excellent -- very friendly, knowledgeable, and clear in his explanations/suggestions for the visit. Buses were clean and comfortable. And thanks to a suggestion from your staff (despite ideas to the contrary by the Alcatraz ferry people), we were able to get an earlier Alcatraz ferry/tour than the one we were scheduled for -- allowing us to really enjoy our day to the fullest without being too rushed for our return to the airport that evening. Our tour guide was awesome. He added the extra touches to the tour . He was laid back and made you feel comfortable. The drive to Muir woods was a bit scary with the winding steep roads but he warned us ahead of time. I loved driving across the golden gate bridge listening to I left my heart in San Francisco. We wish that the trip to Muir Woods allowed for more than 1 hour there.--skip the Sausalito portion. The tours were booked w/ too little time between--we nearly missed the ferry to Alcatraz. Our tour guide dropped us off at the ferry just as it was boarding its last passengers. If it was not for him rushing to get us to our ferry, we would have missed the boat.Brian T., 840, 05-2008

The guide was excellent and could answer all the questions that were put to him.
He was very passionate about the trees and the conservation issues. And as the day was so nice he also added an extra stop for photo's of the Golden Gate Bridge from an excellent vantage point on the way back into San Francisco which must of added extra time on to his days work.
The second tour (San Francisco city tour) was again excellent but some of the facts that he gave were slightly different from the day before. Again he was able to answer all the questions that were put to him. Jenny L., 826, 10-2007
I will say that the Alcatraz experience was fantastic, and the Muir Woods/Sausalito tour turned out to be excellent, only because we had such a superb driver and tour guide.

The Muir Woods and Sausalito Tours Tours departs at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM from the SuperSightseeing Tours
Office, 2627 Taylor Street, San Francisco, CA 94133 - located at the
corner of Taylor and North Point, across from the Hyatt Fisherman's
Wharf Hotel. Passengers should meet at this address 15 minutes prior to
departure.
The tour schedule for the day depends on the availability for Alcatraz ferry tickets.
For example, if Alcatraz Ferry is available in the morning; We will pick you up from your Hotel (if requested) and bring you to Fisherman's Wharf. You will pick up tickets for the Alcatraz Ferry direct from Pier 33 "Will Call" window. After your Alcatraz Tour you return to the Supersightseeing Office to join the Muir Woods Tour at approximately 1:30 pm.
If there is no availability for Alcatraz ferry in the morning, upon arrival at Fisherman's Wharf you will start with the Muir Woods and Sausalito tour and then continue to Pier 33 and the Alcatraz Ferry and Tour in the afternoon.
If Alcatraz is sold out for the date requested you will not recieve Alcatraz tickets and will not be charged for that portion of the Combination tour order. If your Credit Card is declined by the Alcatraz Cruises order system you will not recieve Alcatraz Tickets.
Confirmed Alcatraz ticket reservations will be sent to you in a seperate email. The fees for Alcatraz Ferry are not included in the charges for the Muir Giant Redwoods and Sausalito Tour. You have booked 2 seperate reservations and will recieve 2 confirmations and 2 seperate credit card charges. Each part of the order is confirmed as tickets become available. Alcatraz Tickets are only available for booking for the next 90 days. There will be delays for the Alcatraz part of the orders that are booked 90 days or more in advance.

On request basis at time of order. We pick up at hotels in the major tourist
areas of San Francisco. Pick up from Airport and outlying areas is not available. Muir Woods Tour includes a free San Francisco hotel pick up

are confirmed. Please present the 1st E-Ticket voucher at the Tour Office for your Muir Woods and Sausalito Tour. The 2nd email will be your voucher, departure time and receipt for the Alcatraz Ferry Reservation.
Alcatraz Tickets are held at Pre-Paid Will Call:
Your Alcatraz boarding tickets will be held the Alcatraz Cruises Dock at PIER 33.
When you present your Alcatraz Voucher, picture ID and credit card used on the reservation transaction the boarding tickets will be issued. Be sure to show up 30 to 45 minutes before your Alcatraz cruise! Tickets may not be picked up prior to the tour date.

IMPORTANT: MUIR WOODS TOUR: Muir Woods Tour cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations of the Muir Woods tour prior to 24 hours are charged a $10 per person administration fee. No shows will be charged.
